Current Positions
The AutoCAD Technician will be responsible for converting field notes and data collector points into professional drawings for submittal to our clients. Qualified candidates should have experience or knowledge of survey mapping and be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Experience with GIS software is a plus but not required. An understanding of legal descriptions, mapping and land/real estate terminology is desired. The ideal candidate will have experience in survey type drafting and working knowledge of GIS.

The Crew Chief is responsible for running a two-person crew and performing field work on all survey types including boundaries, ALTA’s, topographical mapping, construction layout, etc. Qualified candidates will have a demonstrated knowledge of principles of survey measurement, staking and marking, map and construction plan comprehension, along with proficient math skills and computations. Knowledge of Trimble equipment is highly desirable.

Job Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree in surveying or construction management are highly preferred)
• 3-5 years of experience operating survey equipment and collecting field information
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (acceptable to our insurance carrier)
• Accurate and detailed survey notes
• Able to work in inclement weather and willing to travel/work in both urban and remote settings
• Current CST level 1, 2, or, 3 certification is highly desirable

The Instrument Technician will assist the Crew Chief in performing field work on all types of surveys including boundaries, topographical mapping, ALTA’s, construction layout, etc. Qualified candidates should have hands on experience with the set-up and use of surveying equipment including GPS and robotic total stations (Trimble equipment highly preferred). Candidates should also be able to demonstrate a knowledge of survey types and the differences between them, along with proficient math skills.

• Ability to work in varying and sometimes inclement weather conditions
• Ability to walk long distances, climb hills, hammer stakes and cut brush to assist the Crew Chief

The Paralegal will function as an administrative assistant to our team of professional surveyors and project managers. The ideal candidate will have real estate knowledge and be experienced in organizing and handling a wide range of administrative, paralegal and executive tasks. This person must be extremely well organized, able to work independently and/or in a team, and able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal skills. The ability to interact with staff and clients, sometimes fast paced and under pressure while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role.

The Professional Surveyor will oversee the field work and drafting of all types of surveys we perform including boundaries, ALTA’s, topographical mapping and construction; perform research necessary to compare and resolve boundary issues; communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers and construction managers; plan and prioritize workload according to client needs and project timelines; perform field work and conduct field crew evaluations; assist in the training and development of field and drafting personnel and assist in the pricing of bids and quotes for new projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in surveying
• Current Michigan professional surveyor license
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D (as well as older AutoCAD versions)
• Experience with Trimble equipment
• Commitment to produce a consistent and quality product
