Project Description

Kem-Tec was tasked to design an adaptive reuse renovation of the historic Jennings Hospital Building. The result was transforming 4 floors of hospital space into 46 units for seniors. The Jennings Hospital Building is listed in the National Registry for Historic Places. We preserved elements of the exterior and interior of the building. For instance, we had to replace the old windows with new windows. These new windows had to match the same material and style as the original windows, so they ended up being custom-made to accomplish this. This project was funded by Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC).
